	Bleket Church

When Uddevalla shipyard had its heyday in the 50 - and 60's the city grew with new districts far from the center. The need for new churches where people lived were increasing. Then Uddevalla Small church foundation was formed to promote the construction of district churches. The first one that was built and is still owned is Bleket Church, opened in September 1963.

	Bokenäset Old Church

Bokenäs old church was in use until the 1890s. The church dates from the 1100s and is a so called absidkyrka. It has preserved some older features, such as the absence of windows in the north state, since the population in the Middle Ages believed that evil spirits lived there. The windows have been enlarged and the church tower was built in the 1700s when also the ceiling paintings were added.

	Dragmarks Church & Monastery Ruins

DragMarks Church was built in the mid-1700s. Today's church is the fifth in this place. The very first church was moved to the site from Tonsberg in Norway in the mid 1200s and was an monastery church. The monastery in Dragmark. "Marieskogs kloster," was built at this time. It was founded by the premonstratensorder, devoted to the cult of the Virgin Mary. This order introduced the custom to celebrate Lucia in Sweden.
